I am in the mood to snuggle with you. Let me share with you what I see...
I envisioned that you are already in Malaysia. It's a Sunday. We had just finished planning for the coming week. Flyfm is playing commercial-free songs like they usually do on Sundays.
You just finished writing some emails to your friends and family back home.
A light breeze blows from the verandah of our condo in Bukit Utama.
Els was busy watching Netflix.
You are at your study desk wearing a white sundress. You tie your shoulder-length hair in a bun.
I come from behind and peer at the computer screen. You hold me by the back of my neck and kiss my cheek lightly.
I am in my usual black v-neck cotton shirt and shorts.
I asked you, "Do you want any coffee?"
You said, "That will be nice".
I asked Els the same question. She said, "I'm fine, thank you". She is in the living room absorbed in Netflix.
I went to the kitchen, boil some water, and make us 2 mugs of black coffee. The mugs are off white made out of stoneware.
Then we join Els in the living room. She is too engrossed to notice us. We sit on the 3-seater and we snuggle. It feels so good.
I can smell the aroma of your skin from your shoulder. It is the smell of Lavender soap. Your hair smells fresh too. I bury my nose in your hair while looking at Els. Looks like she doesn't want to be disturbed.
We don't talk much, you and I. We are just enjoying the moment. While waiting for the coffee to cool down, we just watch Netflix on TV, not knowing the head or tail of the storyline.
We let time pass. Els is in her tank top and surfer shorts. We simply let her enjoy her show. The kid is obsessed with what she is watching. Occasionally she glanced at us.
Then she extended her arm, "Let me have a sip," she said.
That's what I see in my mind right now.
Of course, I also think about Lizzie and the kids. Since it is Sunday, the three of them decided to go for a walk at the mall. I let them be.
In the evening, we will congregate with them for a hearty dinner at the Curve. Tomorrow we will start another week delivering courses for Learning Edge Consultants. Until then, that Sunday is nothing more than a day we laze around and snuggle.
